Here I am with my husband, our six wonderful children, their spouses and our two beautiful granddaughters! We just spent the Thanksgiving Holiday with all of them and enjoyed getting our family pictures at the Booker T. Washington memorial park.

You know one of the most wonderufl things about our holiday was that I work from home and there was no one telling when and where to be! I set my own hours and I can work when and where I choose.

Right now as I write I am sitting in a cozy recliner watching the lights from my christmas tree and looking at my christmas village give a soft glow as if it were really alive with people from another time and place. But...at the same time...I am working on my business while enjoying the comforts of my home. This beats a stuffy old office all to pieces!

I don't know why you are reading this blog or what brought you here but most likely you are wanting to do something different than what you're doing or you wouldn't be here. There are a lot of people that will rip you off on the web if you're not careful (I've met some of them) but if you're not afraid to work hard, and you're teachable, you can make a good living working from home.

My-Business-Leads The Freedom of Working From Home

Hello Fellow Business Owners,

Here I am travelling down Rt 460 from Roanoke, VA on my way to a family reunion. I have been on the road for a couple of hours working on my business, coaching people in my downline, and just enjoying the freedom of working for myself! (Thanks to amazing technology I can be online even as I'm riding down the road. )If I were stuck behind a desk on the 10th floor of a high-rise building I would be tied to a schedule and not free to attend this family reunion that I have missed for 13 years.

Is A Home Business right for you?

I was sitting here today, looking around on Google at the work at home category, and it came to me how fortunate I really am to be able to work at home, live life exactly how I wish to do it, and have no restrictions placed on my head by a boss. For my money, this has got to be the ultimate lifestyle. Many people searching for work at home, but often, they become involved with a business that just does not quite cut it, in terms of making enough money to live on. So, off to the day job to earn the living. Their thoughts are always that finding a good business to become involved with must exist, but up to this point, they simply have not found the right one.

I never try to convince anyone to try to join my business. As a matter of fact, I sometimes do not want them to join until they really know what the business is all about. You know, there are so many work at home business opportunities out there, and so many eager marketers, that it can literally be quite confusing on how to begin the process. Working at home is a lot different than having a boss stand over your shoulder. When you work at home, you have total freedom to do exactly as you wish. This is a catch 22 problem. Many are simply not disciplined enough to make the transition from a normal day job, to a work at home job. They may find themselves day dreaming about success with no effort, but in reality, working at home does require major work. You probably have not heard that before, but I am one who will tell the truth about the work at home industry. Work, the simple act of creating forward motion, is the keyword term. There is no escaping the fact that if you are going to become successful in a home business, you will definitely earn your keep. There are articles to write, websites to be created, backliinks to be built, prospects to be talked to on the phone, and host of other elements that you may not be really proficient with.

Its an amazing fact. Most people who are given websites to market do not really go through the sites and see all the features and functions of that site. They believe that simply having a good looking website is all that is needed to become successful. They may even believe that once the site is published, they are ready to make money with their new work at home business. Well folks, if this is what you believe, then I have a message for you. You could spend thousands of dollars on a site, but unless that site is constructed properly, it will be nothing but a worthless piece of digital trash. In other words, no one will visit the site, no one will see the site, and it will simply float around on the world wide web with no exposure at all. So, in essence, that great widget business you just bought into, is totally worthless. Oh sure, you could send your friends and family to the site, and have them marvel at how great it looks, but in reality, they are not going to join your business, and all your thinking, planning and dreaming will simply not work out for you.

Work From Home

In the ongoing quest for providing the best information concerning starting a work at home business, I delve deeper into this process so as to unlock some of the mysteries for my Google readers. Is it not amazing to think that anyone has the ability to start a work from home business, learn how to effectively promote that business, and over time, create an income that will sustain them even in tough economic times like we have right now? For me, its a real privilege to possess this knowledge concerning working at home, and quite honestly, I would recommend that business model to anyone seeking a job alternative.

When you consider what working at home really is, it is a way to simplify your life, live according to your terms and enjoy each and every day that has been granted to you. How many people out in the world are hurting, depressed, and basically trapped in a job box? Of course there are no statistics to prove my theory, but I am thinking that most people, at one time or another have agonized over their day job, and yearned for a way out of the maze. Did you know? There is a way out! There is a way out of this worthless and fruitless working each day world, and that answer could just be working at home.

There are numerous ways to work at home. Telecommuting, e-commuting, e-work, telework, working from home (WFH), or working at home (WAH) is a work arrangement in which employees enjoy flexibility in working location and hours. In other words, the daily commute to a central place of work is replaced by telecommunication links. Many work from home, while others, occasionally also referred to as nomad workers or web commuters utilize mobile telecommunications technology to work typically from coffee shops or myriad other locations. Telework is a broader term, referring to substituting telecommunications for any form of work-related travel, thereby eliminating the distance restrictions of telecommuting. All telecommuters are teleworkers but not all teleworkers are telecommuters. A frequently repeated motto is that "work is something you do, not something you travel to". A successful telecommuting program requires a management style which is based on results and not on close scrutiny of individual employees. This is referred to as management by objectives as opposed to management by observation. The terms telecommuting and telework were coined by Jack Nilles in 1973.

These types of jobs are not necessarily what I mean when I say work at home. I am personally not wanting to be tied to any job that does not allow me the flexibility to create and achieve what I wish to achieve on my own merit. Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the merchant, the network, the publisher and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third parties vendors.

Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.

Affiliate marketing using one website to drive traffic to another is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers marketing strategies.

The problems associated with work at home affiliate marketing businesses is the fact that most people who choose to enter into them, are in the dark on the process of advertising, or marketing their greatest work at home business to the rest of the world. They will resort to any underhanded tactics like reverse marketing, cross recruiting from other downline organization, using social networking to peddle their wares to others and many other ways. But, did you know that there are proven strategic business plans that can, and must be implemented in order to achieve notoriety and presence on Google, Yahoo, MSN, WindowsLive and the other major searches of the Internet?

Today, I created a good YouTube Video titled work at home. I wanted to create an interest from my Google reader that happened to be searching for work at home. I did this for a very specific reason. In the first place, the keyword term is searched over 2 million times each month. This tells me that people are indeed, trying to find information concerning starting a home business, or trying to find a work from home business that is highly publicized to join. Its a fact that people are interested in joining or starting a good rock solid work at home business opportunity. As with anything found on Google, there is somewhat of a catch 22 when it comes to finding good information. Often times, those that spend the most money will be found at the top. So, it may just be that some so-called Internet marketing legend has bought their way to that position. That does NOT mean that the work at home business model is right for everyone. Looking for a good business is a tough road, to say the least. The searcher may come across totally ridiculous terms like get rich quick, make money online, get rich in a home based business and other misleading statements. Let us clarify this right here and now.

There are no quick and easy solutions to a work at home business!

It is about time that all work at home netpreneurs stand and rally around that statement, simply because it is the truth. It is a funny thing about truth. Some people just will not accept the truth as being real. They had rather have visualizations of riches beyond belief, fast cars, beautiful women and everything associated with the so called good life. Work at home advertisers will spare no expense in trying to convince and coerce others into joining their business. You know that there is the statement, "Fake It Until You Make It." Now this sums it all up for me. It simply means those that lie the best, walk away with the prize on the Internet.
